Tuesday’s ‘Talk to Us’ event brought a burst of festive spirit to our Emsworth store. With carols outside, conversations inside and plenty of seasonal treats to enjoy, the morning became a celebration of community just as we head into the big countdown to Christmas!

We were joined by our new Chief Executive, Ben Stimson, alongside Lucy Avison, Commercial Manager for Marketing and Engagement, and Area Manager Garry Farne. They spent their time chatting with customers and members about their experiences in-store and all things Southern Co-op.

Adding a magical touch to the morning were the Emsworth Village Voices choir, whose carols set a welcoming tone outside the store. Their performances drew in passers-by and caused many to stop and listen, as well as creating a festive atmosphere that carried through the entire morning.

Inside, the first fifteen members to come and chat with our team were thanked with goodie bags, chocolates and mince pies, helping spark conversations and bringing plenty of smiles. Customers shared thoughtful feedback, favourite products and suggestions for the year ahead, giving us useful insight into what matters most to the local community.

For many, it was their first opportunity to meet Ben and strengthen their connection with our leadership team. The event offered a place for members to share thoughts, ask questions and get to know some of the faces shaping the future of our business alongside them.
