Virtual awards celebrate Havant and South Downs College’s apprentices and their employers
Apprentices and businesses from a variety of industries have been celebrated for their achievements through Havant and South Downs College’s (HSDC) annual National Apprenticeship Week awards.
With 11 categories ranging from Apprentice of the Year to Outstanding Investment in Employee Development, the awards acknowledge all the work which has been put in throughout the year to train the workforce of the future.
The 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships has taken place this week, and HSDC has been sharing the love through virtual presentations to recognise our apprentices and employers.
Gemma Palmer who took home the Rising Star Award Gemma said: “I’d say absolutely go for it! It opens up so many opportunities, everyone has been so encouraging and helpful with everything. I couldn’t have had a better experience.”
For the second year in a row, Southern Co-op was recognised in the awards as it won Outstanding Investment in Employee Development. Last year it scooped Large Employer of the Year award.
