A new Starbucks® store has opened at 145-147 High Street, Rickmansworth today, on Wednesday 10 November.

Operated by Sussex founded Starbucks licensee, Cobra Coffee – part of Southern Co-op – the store has already created eight new jobs in the local area with more job opportunities available.

This will be the only Starbucks within five miles of Rickmansworth with the closest alternative based in Watford.

Store Manager, Nisha Khimji, who started her Starbucks journey as a barista then worked up to store manager in the space of a year, said: “We can’t wait to start welcoming people into the store and become part of the local community.

“The team will continue to closely follow the latest guidance from both the Government and health authorities to keep everyone safe. So, to celebrate the opening we’ll be offering 50 lucky customers complimentary reusable cups every day for the first week.

“Why not fill your freebie with one of the new Starbucks® festive drinks on the menu, including the Caramel Waffle Latte and the Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate.”

Customers are also invited to enjoy new food items such as the Very Merry Beyond Meat® Sandwich and Blitzen’s Blue Cheese and Chutney Toastie.

The regional co-operative behind Cobra Coffee, Southern Co-op, already has strong links in the town with a co-operative Welcome franchise store in Moneyhill Parade.

The store comes complete with comfortable seating. Or for those who prefer to stay at home, delivery will be fully available within a month of opening to all customers via Uber Eats.

The team is closely following the latest guidance from both the Government and health authorities to keep everyone safe.

The new store will be open from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 8:00am to 5:00pm Sunday.
