1. This competition (the “Competition”) is open to residents of the UK, aged 18 and over who are colleague members of The Southern Co-operative Limited (“Southern Co-op”). Proof of identity and age may be required.
  2. By participating in the Competition, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and the specific details of the Competition set out in the colleague member survey email sent on 12 June 2024.
  3. To enter the Competition colleague members must complete the new member colleague survey in full (which was sent to them via email) and opt in to entering the Competition by entering a valid email address.
  4.  There is one prize of one £100.00 Motivates shopping voucher to be won. The winner will be picked at random from all the valid entries and notified by email.
  5. You may only enter the Competition once and any duplicate entries will be eliminated.
  6. The deadline for entries to the Competition is 23:59pm on 23 June 2024. Entries made after the deadline shall not be eligible to take part in the Competition.
  7. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition, but the survey must be completed in full and a valid email address provided.
  8. Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt by Southern Co-op.
  9. Southern Co-op reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative, if necessary, at Southern Co-op’s discretion.
  10. The prize includes no costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
  11. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or another prize.
  12. The Competition is open only to employees of Southern Co-op, with the exception of any employees (and their families), their agents or related third parties who are directly connected with the administration of the Competition.
  13. If the winner does not respond to Southern Co-op within 7 days of being notified, then their prize will be forfeited, and Southern Co-op shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 7 days or they will also forfeit their prize). If the winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and Southern Co-op shall be entitled to select another winner. Where applicable, the judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. The Prize will be delivered at Southern Co-op’s cost but at the winners’ risk from 1 July 2024 and the winner shall allow 28 days for delivery of the prize. Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
  15. Depending on the nature of the Competition, at Southern Co-op’s discretion, the surname and county of the winner will be provided up to a month after the closing date on receipt of a request enclosing a stamped addressed envelope to: The Southern Co-operative Limited Member Support, 1000 Lakeside Western Road Portsmouth PO6 3FE or by emailing: [email protected].
  16. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Competition and the winner shall participate in such activity on Southern Co-op’s reasonable request. The winner consents to the use by Southern Co-op, its related companies and any other person directly connected with the administration of the Competition for a reasonable time, of the winner’s image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including on the internet on any websites hosted by Southern Co-op, its related companies and its partners and in advertising, marketing or promotional material) without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.

  18. Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the prize. Southern Co-op further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of Southern Co-op for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
  19. Southern Co-op reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Southern Co-op in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. Southern Co-op shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
  21. The Competition will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
