1. Promoter
    • The promoter of this competition is Southern Co-op, 1000 Lakeside, Western Road, Portsmouth, Hants, PO6 3FE (“the Promoter”).
  2. Eligibility
    • Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible to claim.
    • No purchase necessary to claim the free product.
    • Only available in store at Southern Co-op, not including Welcome franchise stores, or home delivery.
  3. Campaign period
    • The promotion will run on selected dates throughout December 2025 – 3rd, 9th & 17th.
    • Each giveaway day and qualifying first name will be announced via the Promoter’s official social media channels on the morning of that day.
  4. How to claim
    • On each giveaway day, customers whose first name matches the ‘Name of the Day’ announced on the Promoter’s social media channels may claim one free box of mince pies in participating stores.
    • Customers must present valid photo identification (e.g. driving licence, passport, student ID, work pass or bank card) clearing showing their first name to redeem the offer.
    • One box of 6 Merry Mince Pies per eligible customer per giveaway day.
    • The offer is available while stocks last and cannot be reserved or transferred. While stocks last.
  5. Participating stores
    • The promotion is valid in participating stores only across the UK. Store availability and stock levels may vary. Only available in stores at Southern Co-op, not including Welcome franchise stores, or home delivery.
  6. Charity donation
    • For every pack of mince pies sold throughout December 2025 (including outside the giveaway dates), the Promoter will make a donation to their charity food banks festive campaign.
  7. Exclusions & limitations
    • No cash alternative is available.
    • The free mince pie offer cannot be exchanged or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
    • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the product for an alternative equivalent item if stocks are unavailable.
    • The Promoter may withdraw or amend the promotion at any time without prior notice, if necessary, due to circumstances beyond its control.
  8. Photography & promotion (GDPR compliance)
    • With the customer’s consent, the Promoter may take photographs or short videos of customers collecting their free mince pies for use on the Promoter’s social media channels, website and marketing materials.
    • Participation in photography or promotions activity is entirely optional.
    • The Promoter will collect and process personal data (such as name or image) solely for the purpose of administering and publicising this campaign, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protections Act 2018.

  9. General conditions
    • The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding.
    • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs, loses, or damages incurred as a result of participation in the campaign, except where required by law.
    • By taking part in the promotion, participants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
