Terms & Conditions
- This competition (the “Competition”) is open to residents of the UK, aged 18 and over. Proof of identity and age may be required.
- The Competition will be advertised in a household leaflet drop in selected Southern Co-op store locations.
- By participating in the Competition, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
- There will be five prizes of one £50 Southern Co-op gift card (“Prize”) to be won, which are subject to the terms and conditions of gift card use.
- Each winner of a Prize will be picked at random on 27/11/24 from all the valid entries and will be contacted the following week by email or phone. Southern Co-op will request the winner to provide their address to Southern Co-op via email or over the phone to facilitate delivery of a Prize.
- You may only enter the Competition once and any duplicate entries will be eliminated.
- The deadline to submit a valid entry in the Competition to win Prize is 23:59 on 26/11/24. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be eligible.
- No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition but you must enter your name and contact details online at southern.coop/gift-card-giveaway
- Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt by Southern Co-op.
- Southern Co-op reserves the right to replace a Prize with an alternative, if necessary, at Southern Co-op’s discretion.
- The Prizes include no costs associated with the Prizes and not specifically included in the Prizes, for example, travel or other expenses.
- The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
- The Competition is open to employees of Southern Co-op with the exception of any employees (and their families), their agents or related third parties who are directly connected with the administration of the Competition.
- If a winner does not respond to Southern Co-op within 7 days of being notified, then the winner’s entitlement to a Prize will be forfeited and Southern Co-op shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 7 days or they will also forfeit their entitlement to a Prize). If a winner rejects their Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms and conditions, the winner’s entitlement to a Prize will be forfeited and Southern Co-op shall be entitled to select another winner. Where applicable, the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Prizes will be delivered at Southern Co-op’s cost and the winner shall allow 28 days for delivery of the Prize. Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for the Prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
- Depending on the nature of the Competition, at Southern Co-op’s discretion, the surname and county of the winners will be provided up to a month after the closing date on receipt of a request received in a stamped addressed envelope to: The Southern Co-operative Limited FAO Southern Co-op, Customer Engagement Manager, Retail Commercial Department, 1000 Lakeside, Western Road, Portsmouth, PO6 3FE.
- Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Competition and the winners shall participate in such activity on Southern Co-op’s reasonable request. Winners consent to the use by Southern Co-op, its related companies and any other person directly connected with the administration of the Competition for a reasonable time, of the winners’ images, photographs and names for publicity purposes (in any medium, including on the internet on any websites hosted by Southern Co-op, its related companies and such other person and in advertising, marketing or promotional material) without additional compensation or prior notice and in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.

- Southern Co-op accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting a Prize. Southern Co-op further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of Southern Co-op for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
- Southern Co-op reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Southern Co-op in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Southern Co-op shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
- The Competition will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
