Our changing climate is driving nature’s decline and we can’t solve the climate crises without nature. Only by protecting and restoring our natural environments like peatland, woodland, saltmarsh, as well as our oceans, can we provide vital carbon stores and homes where wildlife can thrive.

We work in partnership with Wildlife Trusts across our region to support nature recovery at our own sites and within our communities.
At our Clayton Wood natural burial ground, and at both our crematoria at The Oaks Havant and East Devon we’ve been making space for nature. We work year-round to create and maintain habitats that support a wide variety of trees, plants and wildlife.

Wilder Communities

We’ve launched Wilder Portsmouth and Wilder Wight with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, to encourage people to take action to create and enhance wild spaces where they live. Go wild too and join in the Team Wilder activities run by your local Wildlife Trust.

In 2021, 85% of participants reported a positive impact on their health.
