New store creates local jobs in Egham
Operated by licensee Cobra Coffee, which is part of Southern Co-op, the new Starbucks® store in Egham opened on Wednesday 26 April creating eight new local jobs.
The store is in Liberty House, part of the Magna Square redevelopment, and named as a tribute to the Magna Carta which was sealed nearby in 1215.
The new store opens up on to the traffic free boulevard at Magna Square which is part of Runnymede Borough Council’s town centre regeneration project and has several green credentials, including highly efficient thermal insulation, low energy lighting and solar-controlled glazing.
Cobra Coffee is part of Southern Co-op, which was recognised for its sustainability efforts with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2022.
To reduce food waste, the new store will offer Too Good To Go – a leading surplus food app connecting customers to restaurants and stores that have unsold food.
