As a qualified ICAEW FCA and when partner in a leading professional accountancy practice, I had a proven successful record working with clients and team members across a diverse range of business sectors, locations and individuals. Post retirement I have continued to demonstrate directorship skills including Court and Finance Committee Member of 800 year old City Livery Company, Trustee/Treasurer of a local museum charity, Chair of the Joint Audit Committee of Essex Police Fire Crime Commissioner and Governor of Lord Wandsworth College.

The TEAM approach is based on agreeing on the task to be achieved, building a team and developing individuals within it. I have built my business life on TEAM building principles which link with the co-operative core values. My skills are very aligned in a co-operative setting, supporting a) people helping each other working together for mutual benefit b) self responsibility where individuals play a full part in the organisation c) equality of members’ rights and benefits d) equity of members treated justly and fairly e) solidarity with members and other co-operatives and f) in a democratic way, members having appropriate control. My third attempt seeking a role supports my giving back ethos.
