Baked feta with honey and chilli
This rich and salty cheese is an unexpected but delicious match with honey. Just pop in the oven and serve while it’s still warm so you can scoop onto toasted bread.
Ingredients

- 1 x 200g pack feta
- 1½ tbsp honey
- 1½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 spring onion or ¼ small white onion, sliced
- ½ red chilli, deseeded and thinly sliced
- Toasted baguette slices, to serve
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6.
- Pat the feta dry with kitchen roll and put into a small ovenproof dish.
- Drizzle over the honey and oil and season with black pepper. Scatter over the spring onion and chilli and cover tightly with foil. Bake in the oven for 15 mins until softened.
- Preheat the grill to high. Remove the foil and put the baking dish under the grill for 4-5 mins until the cheese is bubbling and turning golden. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices.
